‎Arrests on Nov 15

Four activists including two citizen journalists were arrested at a Climate Solidarity Rally on November 15.  These activists (some from Occupy The Stage) protested Big Oil in solidarity with the Tar Sands Blockade.

The rally took place at The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans where the American Petroleum Institute was meeting. The group entered the hotel and joined the American Petroleum Institute luncheon to protest Big Oil companies. When told to leave, they exited the building and congregated on the sidewalk, beginning to disperse.  On the sidewalk, when they were no longer “trespassing”, four activists were detained and eventually arrested.
